The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) is a nationwide organisation providingadvice and expertise to help its members meet the challenges of everyday life. The SIA Link Scheme enables people in similar situations to share experience and solve problems. The helpline service provides comprehensive advice and information on a wide range of issues from incontinence to holidays. The SIA offer a wide range of services to its members, including a Directory of Solicitors who deal compensation issues, contact direct for full details.
The SIA also help people who are paralysed as a result of a viral infection.
'Wheelie Power' is a book produced by the SIA for young people with spinal injuries, free to members, price £5.00 to others. It covers all aspects of life for spinally injured children and teenagers.
SIA also has a Peer Support Service with officers around the country visiting fellow spinal cord injured people in Spinal Units.
