Community Occupational Therapy provides Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment to all clients with a physical disability who are having difficulties carrying out self-care, leisure or productivity activities ie. dressing, hobbies, managing household affairs.
Clients are seen as outpatients in the department or clients own home, where appropriate. Services offered are:-
+ splinting
+ joint protection advice
+ assessment of daily living skills
+ rehabilitation maintenance programmes;
+ advice about managing day to day activities.
