Leckhampton Court hospice provides in-patient and day hospice facilities for adults over 18 years of age who have palliative care needs. This embraces:
people with advanced progressive diseases that require pain or sympton management, rehabilitation, respite or terminal care;
people with lymphodema caused through malignant disease that require management of their swollen limb;
the expertise within the hospice and service configuration enables the multi professional team to support people earlier in their cancer journey;
Palliative Daycare Services offer proactive and responsive day hospice care;
a Creative Arts Co-ordinator is developing a programme of creative and diversional therapy; this service will be offered to both patients and carers.
The Family Support Service offers support to families and carers pre and post death. A programme is in place to train volunteers to work with bereaved people. The In-patient Unit has eighteen beds and a multi professional healthcare team supported by complementary therapists and volunteers.
