NCCL (Liberty) is a pressure group which campaigns for human rights and civil liberties. Liberty acts as a watchdog, lobbies Parliament, is involved in research, organises conferences, publishes factsheets, newsletter and other publications. Liberty deals with test cases and provides human rights advice to members of the public, voluntary sector organisations and other lawyers and advisors.
A Human Rights Advice Line is available on 0845-123-2307 (see separate record). It is only open part time - Monday and Thursday 6:30 to 8:30pm, Wednesday 12:30 to 2:30pm.
Written advice is available - enquirers must submit an Advice and Information Request Form. These are available on-line at www.yourrights.org.uk or from reception on 020-7403-3888. Advice services are available to non-members (membership does not give priority).
