Comment: | The Royal British Legion (RBL) is the leading ex-service charity in England, Wales and Ireland. In this area there are over sixty local branches. The Royal British Legion can provide immediate financial assistance in cases involving debt, provision of mobility aids, and house repairs. Seven residential homes and three convalescent homes operate in the UK, providing long and short term care and recuperation. Assistance is given free to all eligible applicants, who do not need to be members of the RBL. Opening hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm weekdays. For welfare assistance apply direct to the County Field Office. For membership, contact Angie Trotman, County Secretary, also at this address. She can then supply details of the appropriate local Branch.
