Comment: | The Almshouse Association supports local charities by visiting and discussing almshouse administration, providing grants and interest free loans towards repairs and improvements. They maintain a Panel of Architects and Building Surveyors, and offer insurance, financial guidance, feasibility projections and draft budgets and negotiation with the Charity Commission, Department of Environment, Department of Social Security, Housing Corporation and local authorities.
Regional meetings and training seminars are held. |
