Comment: | Gloucestershire Rural Community Council (GRCC) aims to promote and enable rural community development and assist people living in rural areas to secure adequate access to facilities and services. Help and advice is offered on rural services - housing, transport, employment, education, village shops, village schools and on village halls and charity matters or funding advice. They produce a quarterly newsletter - Rural Regeneration - obtainable from Community House or through annual membership of the GRCC. Minimum annual membership is £20.00; corporate membership is £25.00 per annum). The GRCC website holds the Village Hall Database, which lists all the village halls and similar venues in rural Gloucestershire - with details on each hall's capacity, facilities, disabled access and contacts etc. The Gloucestershire Association of Parish and Town Councils (GAPTC) is also based here - contact Richard Bellis on 01452-500301.
GRCC is a partner in GIG - the Gloucestershire Infrastructure Group - previously known as FOLDA. |
