Comment: | Early Education, founded in 1923, is the British Association for Early Childhood Education. It is a national voluntary organisation for early years practitioners and parents with members and branches in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
Early Education promotes the right of all children to education of the highest quality. It provides support, advice and information on best practice for everyone concerned with the education and care of young children from birth to eight. Its objectives include:
+ offering advice, guidance and information for all those concerned with young children from birth to eight years;
+ providing a national voice on early childhood education;
+ supporting a network of branches across the UK;
+ acknowledging and encouraging partnership and involvement with families;
+ publishing material, producing a termly journal, regular newsletters, and a website;
+ organising conferences, lectures, seminars and discussion forums.
Early Education's work is supported by the Sure Start Unit, DfES.
