Organisation:CLIC Sargent (Gloucester Branch)

Comment:

In 2005, the Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood Trust (CLIC) merged with Sargent Cancer Care to form a new organisation, CLIC Sargent. CLIC had been founded in 1976 by Bristol businessman Robert Woodward who established a registered national charity with three main aims:
+ to help improve treatment and clinical care;
+ to promote research;
+ to give support to families of children undergoing treatment for cancer.
The new organisation continues to support these aims. CLIC Sargent keeps administrative overheads to a minimum but depends on volunteers to raise funds.
