Comment:

The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a learning cooperative of older people which enables members to share many educational, creative and leisure activities. The U3A consists of over six hundred local U3A's throughout Great Britain. Each one is run by its members to provide educational activities to improve their quality of life. No educational qualifications are needed and none given. The National Office links U3A's and provides information. The Third Age Trust helps to develop new U3A's and supports existing ones both administratively and educationally.
