Organisation:Radio Amateur Invalid and Blind Club

Comment:

The Radio Amateur Invalid and Blind Club (RAIBC) helps blind and disabled amateur radio enthusiasts to get their licence and so get in touch with other amateurs. The Club has representatives in most areas, who are sometimes able to help with the installation and operation of equipment.
Entry to the hobby is now by way of the Radio Communications Examination (RCE) first the Foundation Licence, then progressing to the Intermediate and Advanced Licence. Study material for the Intermediate Licence to use with the latest RNIB Talking Book machine, plus tapes or MP3 files on CD Rom, are available now for a small donation.
The RAIBC publishes a newsletter called Radial, which contains items of news and articles on many subjects, available in both print and CD versions.
The RAIBC also has its own e-mail group which is open to all members, supporters, and interested persons. To join, just send a blank message to [email protected] and full instructions will be sent by return.
