Comment: | At their Annual Lecture in November 2005, the Pre-Retirement Association announced that it was to adopt a new name - Life Academy.
Life Academy provides retirement planning advice through short courses and information services for people approaching retirement, or already retired. Company personnel officers and trainers are offered guidance to meet current standards of practice in dealing with retirement, redundancy and the welfare of retired company staff. Life Academy provides a Postgraduate Certificate and M.Sc. in Life Planning; students and trainers attending are supported by a resource centre. Life Academy provides an age diversity consultancy, and, supported by its Corporate Membership, has developed an innovative financial education resource called 'Learn About Money', which is available online, as a CDRom and Workbook.
