Comment: | BBC Radio Gloucestershire CVS Action Desk is a telephone helpline capable of relaying requests on air. It is a good way of locating specialist volunteers, finding unusual items, requesting donations of furniture, publicising services and opportunities available. It is also useful for finding lost friends or schoolmates, and for giving away unwanted office or kitchen equipment. They cannot handle requests for money. They run regular campaign weeks on topics of family, health and social interest. |
