Lydbrook Community Care's services include three Good Neighbour Schemes for the parishes of Lydbrook, Ruardean and English Bicknor, offering a wide variety of assistance. This includes transport, (eg to hospital, doctors, friends, shopping, cemetry, etc.) visiting, dog walking, odd jobs. An Advice and Information Service can help with benefits advice, form filling, home visits, access to other services and resources. Equipment loans are available for short terms eg. wheelchairs, walking aids, bathing and toilet aids, small aids. The benefits advisor, Jenny Hurcombe, can make home visits anywhere in the Lydbrook, Ruardean, English Bicknor area - Tel. 01594-860680 direct.
Luncheon clubs are run in Joys Green and English Bicknor. There is also a gardening scheme, using CRB checked gardeners, in the Lydbrook, Ruardean, Worrall Hill, English Bicknor and Drybrook areas.
