Comment:

The British Retinitis Pigmentosa Society (BRPS) is run by volunteers and offers support and advice to people with retinitis pigmentosa and their families. The Welfare Support Service provides a link between those people with RP and a Welfare Officer who can help during a difficult time. It can also offer advice in securing statutory benefits and services. Links are established and maintained with organisations and professionals concerned with RP in all its aspects. BRPS also aims to create public awareness of RP and raise funds for scientific research. The telephone helpline runs from 9:30am to 9:30pm. A quarterly newsletter is available to members.
