Comment:

Hearing Concern is a national charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. They are a membership led organisation whose main objectives are to provide advice, information and support, to promote communication access and to raise public and professional awareness of the issues associated with hearing loss. They have more than one hundred and eighty trained volunteers across the country to act as advisors and to visit people at home if required. They offer a helpdesk service on 0845-074-4600 or [email protected] giving advice on a variety of issues relating to hearing loss. These include details of social clubs, lipreading classes, hearing aids and everyday hearing problems. They produce a range of useful booklets and leaflets.
