Comment:

Bipolar Affective Disorder affects men and women. The illness is marked by severe mood swings which can result in extremes of mania and depression.
Meetings of the Gloucestershire Branch of the MDF (Manic Depression Fellowship) are held on the first Thursday of every month at Worcester House, Pittville Circus Road, Cheltenham starting at 7:30pm. This support group was launched in response to demand. There are steps to the meeting room, so this venue is not accessible for wheelchair users.
For up-to-date information about local groups, you are advised to contact Jeremy Bacon at the Manic Depression Fellowship. You should also contact him before attending your first meeting, as contacts, groups and venues may change.
