Comment: | WRVS (the Womens Royal Voluntary Service) is a nationwide organisation of women and men providing a range of caring and welfare services within the community. These services include local clubs for older and disabled people, Meals-on-Wheels (via Community and Adult Care Directorate), hospital shops and restaurants, emergency services. Many of these services are set up in co-operation with other statutory and voluntary bodies.
