Comment:	SANE is a national mental health charity which aims to raise awareness of mental illness and campaign to improve services, and to initiate and fund research into the causes of serious mental illness through its research centre in Oxford. They also provide SANELINE (see separate record), an out-of-hours telephone service on 0845-767 8000, charged at local call rate from all over the country, to provide information and support to those experiencing mental health problems.
