Organisation:Cinnamon Trust

Comment:

The Cinnamon Trust is the specialist national charity for elderly or teminally ill people and their companion animals. They have an established national network of over four thousand registered volunteers. All volunteers are tasked from the headquarters in Cornwall and all help in the ways that are most appropriate to them, eg. walking the dog, fostering pets when owners are temporarily hospitalised, so that owner and pet can remain together for as long as possible, despite any problems that may arise.
They have established a national register of nursing homes, residential homes, sheltered housing for the elderly that will accept residents and their pets. The Trust offers homely sanctuary for companion animals whose owners have died.
