Comment:

Macmillan Cancer Support is the charity that works with the NHS and others to provide people who have cancer, and their families, with expert nursing and medical care, and with emotional and practical support, from the point of diagnosis onwards, in order that they may carry on living their lives despite cancer. At the heart of the work are the Macmillan nurses, but there is a whole network of cancer services in the UK including cancer care centres, grants for patients in financial need, Macmillan doctors and a nursing and medical education programme.
The Macmillan CancerLine provides information on cancer self help and support groups, accessing Mcmillan services and other relevant support organisations. It also provides emotional support.
Thee is also the Macmillan YouthLine, also open weekdays 9:00am to 10:00pm for young people (twelve to twenty one) affected by cancer; phone 0808-808-0800 or e-mail [email protected]
