Organisation: Soundbeam Project

Comment:

Soundbeam is a system that enables even the smallest movements to "play" electronic musical instruments. There are over one thousand centres in the UK and abroad that are working with Soundbeam. Playing traditional musical instruments can be problematical for some people because they demand the player to blow, press, or hit, and often need good control of both breath and fingers. Soundbeam, though, means that almost imperceptible movements can be translated by the machine into musical sounds. This gives people a real sense of achievement and self-pride.
