Cirencester Stroke Club is held on Mondays from 9:30am to 12 noon and has a membership of about thirty. A range of activities is offered aiming at therapeutic and social stimulus for people who are recovering from a stroke. Quizzes, whist, scrabble, painting etc provide mental and physical stimulation to improve and encourage speech and movement. Occasional speakers, pub lunch, Christmas lunch and occasional outings are arranged. Cirencester Stroke Club is self supporting and affiliated to the Stroke Association. Meetings are held at Beech Grove Court Community Room, Cirencester GL7 1BD. Information can also be obtained from the regional office of the Stroke Association on 0117-953-1200. The Cirencester Stroke Club is open to stroke suffers in Cirencester and the immediate vicinity.
