Comment:

The National Gamete Donation Trust (NGDT) was set up in 1998 as a national government-funded charity, to raise awareness of, and seek ways to alleviate the national shortage of sperm, egg and embryo donors. They work with the press, clinics and patients to raise awareness of this need, and to provide accurate and impartial information to potential donors, recipients and health professionals. They carry out surveys to ensure that the information they provide is accurate and up to date.
They run a National Helpline and offer support to donors, the general public and health professionals.
NGDT can provide lists / information about:
all clinics in the UK which treat people with donated eggs or sperm;
all clinics aiming to recruit egg or sperm donors;
clinics offering egg-sharing agreements.
They also offer a detailed website, giving clear and practical information about donation, including information about the relevant laws.
