The Learning Assessment and Neurocare Centre is registered with and accredited by the Healthcare Commission. It provides assessment and on-going management of people of all ages with concentration problems, hyperactivity, behavioural, emotional and learning difficulties and disorders on the autistic spectrum, especially Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and related conditions. Patients, from the UK and overseas, can be seen privately or under the NHS.
The initial assessment is individually determined and may include full educational psychology as well as comprehensive paediatric / clinical psychological evaluation taking several hours. For children under the Centre's care, there is close liaison with schools and guidance and support for their teachers. Patients are regularly reviewed and monitored.
The Centre provides workshops, lectures, etc. on ADHD and associated difficulties to professionals in health, education and social care, as well as to parents. Occupational therapy assessments related to ADHD are available, as well as various counselling therapies for tdepression, anxiety, general self esteem issues, etc. The Centre has published books and articles.
