Comment:

Heart Research UK funds research in universities and hospitals all over the UK that will benefit people all over the world. Their projects have contributed to the reduction in the risks of cardiac surgery, making it safer and available to more people as well as giving heart disease sufferers the chance to live longer, healthier lives. They keenly support young research teams to establish a track record, giving them a chance to shine in the research world.
Heart Research UK is also concentrating on prevention with its Healthy Heart grants programme, funding new, innovative community projects. Healthy Heart talks in schools are a success, and the workplace initiative is gaining momentum.
Heart Research UK, with no government funding, continues to work to make the future stronger, safer and full of hope. Through their fundraising activities they continue to put even more into finding how to prevent coronary heart disease, helping more people live longer and better lives with it, and into saving lives.
