Comment: | The Trust operates a free postal library service, distributing touch and sound packs to visually impaired people. Each pack consists of ten or more works of art with accompanying cassette tapes describing the raised image. The Bats project expands the Living Paintings concept for use in art galleries and museums (A Bat consists of a raised image of the work of art being explored and this is accompanied by a description that can be provided either on audio or by a sighted companion / guide). A free library service is available to blind children, their schools, parents and to the blind parents and grandparents of sighted children. |
