Comment:

Birthlink is a one-stop shop offering a range of services for people separated by adoption with a Scottish connection. They operate Scotland's only Adoption Contact Register, which links people world-wide. They offer:
+ Searching services - by using computerised software systems, public record information and a team of volunteers who conduct searches of the public records Birthlink is able to access accurate detailed information on people with a Scottish connection.
+ Go between counselling and support - searching and meeting can be traumatic and confusing for all parties involved. Birthlink's staff have years of experience in assisting people through the various stages.
+ Court process service - if you were adopted in Scotland they can arrange to access some of the official documents related to your birth and adoption on your behalf. This service may be of use if you are not able to go in person.
+ Post Adoption Information Line - a one stop point of contact for those seeking information and advice relating to Adoption issues that affect adults.
