Organisation:Stepps

Comment:

Stepps provides an environment where clients can access help for addiction and depression, using a core twelve-step programme, in conjunction with any alternative therapies that support recovery. Assessments are carried out prior to admission, with a further assessment once the client has been admitted. This process, and the care plan reviews are done in consultation with the client, and their carer if appropriate.
The care will generally last six to eight weeks. The major therapeutic component is the sharing of experiences, both in and out of group therapy. Shared accommodation also encourages communication and helps to avoid isolation, which is often a characteristic of addiction. The process is supported by the core twelve step programme, and secondary care and / or after care are arranged or provided.
Open days take place bi-monthly - please contact Stepps for details. All are welcome.
