Beating Bowel Cancer is a national charity working to raise awareness of symptoms, promote early diagnosis and encourage open access to treatment choice for those affected by bowel cancer. The charity was founded in 1999 and provides authoritative information about the disease, its symptoms, what to do if diagnosed, and what treatment choices are available to you. They encourage people to communicate frankly about all aspects of this disease, and not to be embarrassed to talk about bottoms and bowels!
Their Objectives are to:
provide authoritative information about lifestyle changes that help prevent bowel cancer;
improve awareness of symptoms among the medical profession and general public;
promote early diagnosis;
support open access to treatment choices and encourage informed and shared patient / doctor decision making;
encourage everyone to communicate frankly about all aspects of this disease.
