Comment:

The New Jumbulance Travel Trust was launched December 2001. Its fleet of three Jumbulances make travel possible for the seriously ill (perhaps terminally so) and disabled members of society who would otherwise be unable to go on excursions and holidays.
Many disabled and ill people are simply unable to fly and the Jumbulance provides a wonderful alternative.
The Jumbulances are purpose-built coach-ambulances perfect for disabled travellers and those in wheelchairs, who with the help of able-bodied helpers and trained medical professionals, can experience a truly memorable and enjoyable trip many of us simply take for granted.
The charity targets groups who have up to twenty four people looking to travel together either on holiday or on a day trip. The special equipment on board a Jumbulance makes it possible for disabled adults and children to travel safely with the group.
The Trust can also supply details of preferential travel insurance, ferry costs and accommodation suggestions.
