Comment:

Breaking Free aims to support women survivors of childhood sexual abuse. It provides a safe confidential, supportive, understanding and non-judgemental environment for women to deal with all issues arising from their experience of sexual abuse as children. To help to achieve this, Breaking Free, registered charity, offers the following services:
+ a telephone helpline;
+ individual counselling;
+ talks and training to voluntary and statutory bodies;
+ outreach services.
Breaking Free also acts as an information and signposting agency for male and female survivors, families, friends and professionals. All volunteers - a percentage of whom are themselves survivors - are fully trained, and each volunteer receives ongoing supervision.
Nationally, Breaking Free can be contacted through the helpline or by e-mail.
