Comment:

The Cancer Laryngectomee Trust offers support to people who have cancer of the larynx, people who have had a laryngectomy and their carers. The main aim of the Trust is to promote and assist the relief of all persons in the UK who have undergone a laryngectomy operation. It has compiled a register of laryngectomees throughout the UK. New members get a free book - "Laryngectomy is not a Tragedy" - an emergency card, and other information. Regular newsletters are also sent to members. The Trust promotes awareness and training, supports research and development of information. In some cases it can offer modest grants towards the purchase of medical aids.
