Organisation:National Artificial Eye Service

Comment:

The National Artificial Eye Service provides a manufacturing and fitting service for the supply of Ocular prostheses to all eligible patients throughout England.
The National Artificial Eye Service is part of the NHS. If you wear an artificial eye or cosmetic shell and are eligible for NHS treatment we have over seventy clinics in England where you can have your prosthesis checked and polished and be provided with a replacement when necessary. To find out your nearest clinic please ring our information line on 0845-605-0561. All calls are charged at local rates.
Patients who have recently had their eye removed (enucleated or eviscerated) are referred in by their consultant and will be contacted about an appointment automatically. If you live in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland you should contact your local NHS organisations as those countries have their own arrangements.
