Comment:

The priority of the Personal Dental Service is to provide NHS dental treatment for the relief of pain for people who do not have a regular dentist. They do not register patients and encourage everyone to find a dentist outside the service where they can. The Dental Helpline (01452-318858) can give you the latest information about the availability of NHS dentistry in Gloucestershire.
Routine treatment is available, but is subject to waiting lists. Some more complex items, such as crowns, may not be available, depending on resources. On completion of a course of routine treatment you will be asked to go and find a dentist of your own for ongoing care.
After twelve months, if you are still unable to find an NHS dentist, you may ask to be put on the waiting list again. Home visits can be arranged from this clinic for people who are housebound.
