Comment: | Clinks is a membership body that supports and develops the work that voluntary organisations (NGOs) undertake within the Criminal Justice system in England and Wales. They believe that a strong voluntary sector is crucial to reducing offending and building safer communities.
Among its activities, Clinks advocates for the development and implementation of national strategies to support the voluntary sector, supports the development of regional networks and maintains a national database of voluntary and community organisations providing services to offenders and their families called the Working with Offenders Directory.
Clinks in the South West has two principal aims; these are:
to develop practical new ways that will improve the range and quality of services that are available to offenders living in or returning to the South West
to build appropriate partnerships, networks and other resources that will support the voluntary and community sector in this field. |
