Founded in 1917, PDSA is the UK's leading veterinary charity, providing free veterinary care to the pets of needy people, and promoting responsible pet care, through a network of forty three PetAid hospitals, four PetAid branches and some three hundred and fifty plus associated private practices (known as PetAid practices).
In Gloucestershire, pet owners living in the areas covered by postcodes GL1 - 4, GL5 - 6, GL10, GL20 and GL50 - 53, and who receive either Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit, qualify to register for free veterinary care under the Gloucester, Stroud, Tewkesbury and Cheltenham schemes.
