Organisation:Gloucestershire County Nurses' Welfare Fund

Comment:

The Gloucestershire County Nurses Welfare Fund - as well as assisting retired and sick district nurses - also sets aside a sum each year from which they can consider grants to other needy folk. They are strictly limited to assisting those living in the old Gloucestershire County Council, ie excluding the City of Gloucester and the Borough of Cheltenham. Any case for consideration will require a financial assessment form to be completed by the applicant (not the Social Worker or referrer).
They meet approximately four times a year, but can sometimes consider emergency cases between meetings. Further information is available from the Secretary by post.
