Comment:

If you have a medical condition which has become worse since your driving licence was issued or if you develop a new medical condition, you must inform the Drivers Medical Group of your condition as it may affect your fitness to drive. Failure to do so is a criminal offence and is punishable by a fine of up to £1000.00. For further information contact the Drivers Medical Group direct or access the DVLA web site (go to Drivers Home Page, then Medical Rules). The role of the Medical Group is to promote road safety by establishing whether people are medically safe to drive.
