MOSAC (formerly called Mothers of Sexually Abused Children) - is a voluntary organisation supporting all non-abusing parents and carers whose children have been sexually abused. They provide support, advice, information and counselling following the discovery of sexual abuse. MOSAC aims to enable parents/carers to rebuild confidence and alleviate isolation. It offers a telephone helpline service (manned by trained female volunteers) to both individuals and other support organisations (open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 10:00am to 2:00pm and Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 7:00pm to 9:30pm); a befriending scheme; telephone counselling (face to face counselling for people in London) ; child centred play therapy and a parents support/therapy group.
