Organisation: Witness: Against Abuse by Health and Care Workers

Comment:

Witness: Against Abuse by Health and Care Workers is the only charity in the UK working exclusively on abuse by health and care workers. Witness (formerly POPAN) runs a helpline, a support and advocacy service, provides training and develops new policy approaches to the prevention of abuse.
Witness's Helpline is for anyone concerned with professional abuse issues. It is there for people who may have been abused by a health or social care worker and for friends, relatives, practitioners and others. The line can be used by people seeking information on the issue as well as by people seeking a safe space to talk through their concerns. Should a survivor of abuse need further assistance then they will be assessed for either advocacy or structured support sessions.
