Comment:

riprap is a website developed especially for twelve to sixteen year olds who have a parent with cancer. In riprap, you can learn more about cancer and its treatment and through individual stories you can see how this might affect you and your family.
For some of you it may be even more important to make contact and share experiences with other teenagers in the same situation. The website includes several ways where you can find out about how others deal with their situation and where you can say what's on your mind. You can also go to 'ask a question' or 'ask for advice' and email us with a question or a concern, which will be answered by experienced professionals working in this field.
riprap is developed by a team based at the University of Sheffield, UK - within the Sheffield Palliative Care Studies Group. As the site is developed in the UK, they have included a directory of services nationally - called 'support in my area' - so that you can find out where to go if you want to talk to someone face-to-face near to where you live.
