Gloucestershire Minibus Scheme (GMS) will be providing a minibus sharing service for not-for-profit organisations (school, charity or any other community group or organisation) which do not own their own bus and would benefit from access to low-cost minibuses. It is also for organisations that own minibuses and would like to receive a contribution to the running costs in return for lending their bus to other community organisations when not in use.
In addition to vehicle co-ordination, GMS is aiming to raise standards in minibus use and management and will be providing advice on these issues, along with driver assessments and driver / escort support training, which will be free to volunteers.
