Forest of Dean Care and Repair is an Home Improvement Agency situated within the Forest of Dean District Council, helping older and disabled home owners who live within the district to remain in their own homes.
They help with repairs, improvements and adaptations; the agency offers free advice, support and assistance. People's requirements vary from work ranging from major repairs such as roof repairs, damp problems, replacement window and doors etc, to others who simply need advice.
A small Repairs and Security Scheme is also run by the Care and Repair Agency with clients paying a small labour charge (generally £15.00), plus materials. Care and Repair also keeps a list of approved contractors in the area.
They also offer a floating support service for older people and older people with mental health problems in the Forest of Dean area, through the Supporting People programme.
