| Organisation: | Harvest Trust |
Comment: | The Harvest Trust has been providing simple seaside holidays for children who live in severely deprived areas of England and Wales since 1987. They work closely with schools and community organisations in cities and towns where there is real need. They have a purpose built holiday centre near Newcastle Emlyn in West Wales.
Harvest holidays last a week and take place between the middle of April and the end of September and through joint-working with community organisations and services, groups of children from each area are picked up and returned to their home town by the trusts own minibus. The holidays are self-catering and the transport and accommodation is provided free of charge by the trust. The cost of catering for the group must be met by the community organisation who are organising the holiday with the Harvest Trust. |
