Help the Aged are working in partnership with Barclays Bank to provide a money management and debt advice service ('Your Money Matters') to people aged over fifty. This is a national initiative. An outreach officer for Gloucester is based at the Podsmead Neighbourhood Project in Gloucester.
The service is available to anyone over fifty and living within Gloucester city. Advice can be given on anything from opening a bank account or using 'chip and pin' to budgeting and resolving debt problems. A home visiting service is available - to make an appointment please call Jennifer Cooley, the Outreach Money Advice Worker for Help the Aged on 01452-541576 or 07740-040151.
