Comment:

The Foundation for Assistive Technology (FAST) is a national charity working with users of assistive technology to maximise their independence. They bring together people who use assistive technology, researchers, developers, manufacturers and service providers to build effective partnerships. The aim is to ensure that the development of assistive technology is led by the needs and wishes of users.
FAST raises awareness of emerging technologies for disabled people. It promotes collaboration between users, NHS and other professional organisations and co-ordinates information regarding research and development for assistive technology in the UK.
As well as supporting research and development in assistive technologies, FAST collates information on projects, organisations and events within the assistive technology community and disseminates the information on their website.
