The Trust helps individuals and families of any age. To qualify for help, people must have a physical disability or long-term physical health problem, a low income, limited savings, and live in Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire or Wiltshire.
The St. Monica Trust Community Fund helps in two ways:
+ to help pay for items that will improve quality of life, such as a cooker, bed, fridge, clothing, wheelchair, ramp, etc. Gifts can range from £20.00 to £500.00.
+ short term grants up to £20.00 per week to people who are in a crisis. Short-term grants can be awarded for a few months up to three years.
St. Monica Trust also has grants of up to £10,000.00 available to organisations / projects working to reduce the loneliness and isolation of people with a physical disability or long-term physical health problem. Grants may be awarded for capital items or running costs and are one-off payments. Organisations, please check current criteria and deadlines before applying.
