Comment: | The Community Legal Service (CLS) aims to ensure that people can get information and help about their legal rights and understand how to enforce them in the right place and at the right time.
To make it easier for the public to get legal help and advice, the CLS brings together organisations offering legal and advice services into local networks. These networks include solicitors, Citizens' Advice Bureaux, Law Centres, local authority services (including libraries), community centres, and a host of other organisations.
Community Legal Service Direct is a free and confidential advice service, paid for by legal aid, designed to help people find the legal information and advice they need quickly and easily. Users can search for advice on legal issues ranging from disability, child custody, divorce, housing, to immigration and education. The advice search facility links several hundred selected legal websites and an electronic directory of over fifteen thousand advice agencies and solicitors.
As well as using this website you can access free quality legal information and advice by calling 0845-345-4345.
