Organisation: Threshold Women's Mental Health Infoline

Comment:

Threshold Women's Mental Health Infoline is run by women for women to promote women's positive mental health. It provides National Mental Health Information for women experiencing mental health difficulties and / or emotional distress, their carers, families, friends and workers supporting them.
They offer:
details of local and national services throughout the UK;
wide-ranging information about mental health issues;
a series of factsheets on women and mental health;
emotional support for women seeking information.
Although the Infoline is an information and signposting service, all calls are answered by women trained in counselling skills who are able to support women calling in distress.
The factsheets have been written specifically for women experiencing mental health difficulties and all of them have a list of useful contact numbers and websites on the back.
